In the master's thesis we examined the knowledge of medieval archaeological finds in Slovenia among 5th grade elementary school students. In the theoretical part, we presented selected medieval archaeological finds in Slovenia and connected them with the way people lived at that time. We have presented which archaeological finds dominate the early, high and late Middle Ages and how this is related to people's lives at that time, social development and social order. We focused on the objects, tools and weapons they used and the dwellings in which they lived. We presented the main archaeological sites in Slovenia and the museums which display the finds. In the didactic part, we focused on how we can present the topic of medieval archaeological finds in Slovenia to students of the fifth grade of elementary school. We conducted a lesson on this topic and analyzed the preparation and execution of the lesson. In the empirical part of the master's thesis, we conducted a survey among the 5th grade students of one of the elementary schools in Gorenjska on how well they know medieval archaeological finds in Slovenia and the topic we discussed. We analyzed the obtained results and drew conclusions.
