As part of my diploma, I analyzed and changed the parameters mentioned below on the base station, with the aim of studying the responses of the terminal due to the changes made. I took a closer look at the following parameters, which are: cell selection, access, SRVCC (Single Radio Voice Call Continuity), carrier aggregation and regulation traffic (Load balancing). The purpose of the work was to improve transmission speed by combining carriers, optimize signal level and user reachability by cell selection, correctly redistribute loads to cells that are less loaded and offer more capacity, with the aim of improving the user experience and relieving the network. I continued the practical work at the selected location, i.e. Šmartno pri Litiji. I performed the measurements with the help of the Anita measuring equipment, the Nemo software tool and various phones that captured the data. The mentioned equipment is built into the car, so the measurements gave the result on the roads and streets where I drove. I uploaded this data to the Analyze development tool and saw the state of the network at the time of the measurement. I put together a test configuration and properly tested the operation on a test base station. There I had access to all the parameters, including the mode of operation of the grouping of carriers, so I corrected them accordingly and saw the dependencies of one setting on another by comparing and contrasting. With the obtained results, I wrote a report in which I included key findings and suggestions for a real network, in this case Šmartno pri Litiji. By adjusting the parameters at the location, I achieved a more robust operation of the terminal. I have shown various examples of network usage and settings to improve them. By testing the carrier combining technology, I demonstrated the influence of the signal level on the obtained transmission speed. Taking into account the operating characteristics of the terminal, I have given tips to improve this speed in the field. Regarding the base station setup at the site, I expected the optimization to be satisfactory, but it can be further improved. It turned out to be just that, there were opportunities for improvement, but these differ depending on the individual's use. I expected the traffic management technology to work properly and move the user to another cell when it needs to, i.e. when the cell is saturated. Unfortunately, I was not able to demonstrate the operation of the traffic regulation, as the occupancy of the base station was only 20% at the time of measurement.
