Taking questions posted by Slovene language users on a web forum as an example, the article deals with the question of which aspects of language use are the most difficult for language users, to what extent these difficulties can be overcome with the help of existing grammar guides and whether the rules and explanations in the books are straightforward enough to be easily found and correctly understood by ordinary users. The question is also posed as to whether language forums might represent a way for Slovene Studies specialists, perhaps under the auspices of some official body, to approach new generations.
