Pomen urbanega kmetijstva za namen samooskrbe

Pri diplomski nalogi z naslovom “Pomen urbanega kmetijstva za namen samooskrbe“ skušam nadgraditi projekt krožnega gospodarstva, ki je nastal v okviru predmeta Urbanistično projektiranje 3. Projekt raziskuje, kako na območju Pivovarne Union, znotraj obstoječih grajenih struktur, pridelati čim več hrane. Znotraj obstoječih stavb sem umestila različne načine pridelave hrane, del zunanjih površin sem namenila umeščanju skupnih vrtov, zasaditvam ječmena, hmelja in sadnih dreves. Na območju sem ohranila tudi del obstoječe tradicije. Pomemben premislek sem namenila živilskim odpadkom. Na območju sem uredila tudi tržnico z lokalno ponudbo, restavracijo, lokalom in izobraževalno ustanovo. Kot možen scenarij preurejanja Uniona so proces krožnosti, produkcija, poraba in ponovna uporaba vstavljeni znotraj obstoječih stavb in na novo vzpostavljenih odprtih bivalnih površinah. Ureditev sledi konceptu trajnosti - tako v smislu uravnavanja okoljskih danosti kot tudi pridobitve novih delovnih mest in družbene dobrobiti. Nadgradnja projekta temelji na uporabi obnovljivih virov energije za napajanje pridelovalnih sistemov.

• Title: The importance of urban agriculture for the purpose of self-sufficiency

Abstract

In my thesis titled “The importance of urban agriculture for purpose of self-sufficiency”, I am attempting to build on the circular economy project that was developed within the framework of the course Urban Planning 3. The project explores how to grow as much food as possible on the Union Brewery site, within existing built structures. Various methods of food production have been integrated within these existing buildings. I have also dedicated part of the outdoor areas to the establishment of community gardens, the cultivation of barley, hops, and fruit trees. I have preserved some of the existing traditions in the area. I have given important consideration to food waste. The area also includes a market with local products, a restaurant, a pub, and an educational institution. The circular process of production, consumption, and reuse is contained within the existing buildings and newly established open living spaces, as a possible scenario for the renovation of Union. The redevelopment follows the concept of sustainability, both in terms of balancing environmental conditions, job creation and social welfare. The upgrade of the project is based on the use of renewable energy sources to power the prduction systems.
