Kovačič's posthumously issued book Zrele reči is an interesting example of theediting, followed by reception and valuation, of literary (handwritten) manuscripts. In his article the author tries to follow the process by which these originally disordered, ongoing written notes came to be published, touching on the problems of genre, autobiographical writing and intertextuality which may show Kovačič as an artist, philosopher and writer in a somewhat different perspective.
