Multifunkcijski mestni kampus; idejna zasnova revitalizacije območja Srce sever v Celju

Magistrska naloga raziskuje obstoječe terciarno izobraževanje v Mestni občini Celje, njegov razvoj in povezavo z mestnim središčem. Razvoj in umestitev manjšega kampusa bi poleg dviga izobrazbe prebivalcev mestu doprinesla nove, z izobraževanjem povezane dejavnosti, razvoj znanstvenoraziskovalne dejavnosti, večjo pestrost kulturnega programa ter razvoj novih mestotvornih dejavnosti, ki bi se oblikovale kot posledica povečanja števila mestnih uporabnikov. Potencial za razvoj novega izobraževalnega središča predstavlja revitalizacija degradiranega območja v neposredni bližini starega mestnega jedra, kjer so že vzpostavljeni izobraževalni programi. Programska zasnova mestnega kampusa obsega umestitev treh izobraževalnih objektov, dveh lamelnih blokov s študentskimi stanovanji ter rektorat kot osrednji prostor univerze. Umestitev prostorov rektorata zajema prenovo obstoječega kulturnega spomenika Contijev dvor ter nov objekt z Aulo Magno, ki bo združevala izobraževalni in kulturni program mesta. Umestitev novih objektov sledi zazidalni liniji obstoječih objektov in se oblikuje znotraj dveh glavnih prostorskih usmeritev na lokaciji. Arhitekturna zasnova in umestitev objektov kampusa omogoča dolgoročno prilagodljivost in multifunkcijsko rabo prostorov.

Abstract

The master’s thesis explores the existing higher education in the Municipality of Celje, its potential development, and its integration into the city centre. The development and location of a smaller campus would, in addition to increasing the educational level of the city’s population, bring new education-related activities, the development of scientific research activities, a greater diversity of cultural programmes, and the development of new city-building activities, which would emerge as a result of the increase in the number of urban users. The revitalisation of a degraded area in the immediate vicinity of the old town centre, where educational programmes are already in place, represents a potential for the development of a new educational centre. Its design includes three smaller educational facilities, two student dormitories, and a rectorate as the central space of the university. The location of the rectorate includes the renovation of the existing cultural monument Conti’s dvor, as well as a new building with the Aula Magna, which will combine the city’s educational and cultural programme. The siting of the new buildings follows the building line of existing buildings and is designed within the two main spatial orientations of the site. The architectural design and siting of the buildings allow for long-term flexibility and multifunctional use of the spaces.
