Abstract
V nalogi smo preučevali vpliv temperature med oglenitvijo v oglarskih kopah na kakovost oglja iz teh kop. Temperature smo merili z 2 posebnima temperaturnima sondama v 5 kopah različnih velikosti. Temperature so bile izmerjene v vsaki kopi v strženu in na obodu. Po končani oglenitvi smo iz mest merjenja odvzeli tudi vzorce oglja, katere smo nato analizirali na Gozdarskem inštitutu Slovenije in s tem ugotovili kakovost oglja. Rezultati so pokazali, da se višje temperature v povprečju razvijejo v strženu kope. Prav tako je bila višja temperatura med oglenitvijo dosežena pri uporabi svežega lesa in izdelava kop večjih velikosti. Kakovost oglja je bila pri vseh vzorcih oglja dobra. Izkazalo pa se je, da je najbolj problematičen kazalnik kakovosti oglja granulacija, saj je premalo najbolj pomembne srednje frakcije (20-80 mm), preveč pa velikih frakcij (nad 80 mm). Analiza rezultatov je nakazala vpliv temperature na kakovost oglja. Pri višjih temperaturah je nastajalo oglje boljše kakovosti. Dokazali smo, da pri povprečnih temperaturah nad 400°C nastaja kakovostnejše oglje kot pri temperaturi okoli 200°C.

Title:Influence of temperature on the quality of charcoal from charcoal pits
Abstract:
In this graduating thesis we were analysing the impact of temperature during the carbonisation proces in charcoal pits on the quality of the charcoal. Temperatures were measured with 2 special probes in every charcoal pit. Temperatures were measured in the midle part and in the rim part of the pit. After the carbonisation we collected samples from the parts where we measured temperatures. In cooperation with the Slovenian forestry institute we analysed these samples for quality determination. Results show a higher temperature developing in the midle of the pit. A higher tempetrature has developed in bigger pits and with the use of freshly cut wood. The quality of charcoal is good, but we also find some issues. The biggest issue is the granulation of charcoal. The most important part (granulation between 20 and 80mm) has a very low share (under the standard recommendation). We found some issues in the bigger granulations (bigger than 80mm) too, where the share was to high. Analysis of the results showed that the temperature has an impact on the quality of charcoal. Better quality was percieved in the parts with higher temperatures. We proved that the quality of charcoal is better by temperatures over 400°C than by temperatures around 200°C.
