The central theme of the thesis is the design of park elements and its urban furniture that will align with the goals and vision of the candidacy for the European Capital of Culture 2025, hosted by Nova Gorica and Gorizia. The candidacies concept is fundamentally about the vision of cultural borderlessness, a future of solidarity for the entire region, a European community, etc. In the search for the symbolic connection that would link the form of the elements to the concept of the candidacy, I wanted to focus on nature, as it is an area of pride for both Slovenia and Italy. The concept of the elements is designed with adaptability in mind, as the final size and composition will depend on later agreements with the representatives of the project and the local community. I have educated myself with the significance and importance of the candidacy for the area, as it faces various issues such as brain drain, revitalization of local cultural heritage, and degraded urban areas. In the research phase, I aimed to combine the details of the aforementioned candidacy with my previous experience in designing public spaces. In the project phase, based on everything described, I developed a concept that follows and complements the existing projects vision.
