In the first part of the diploma thesis, I focus on the theoretical work. I start by defining illustration and its fields. I explore more deeply fictional illustration, which includes also publication 100 oken, that is project work of my diploma thesis. I analyze six works that are an interlace of the above-mentioned areas of illustration. I define the form of picturebook and biography. Finally, I focus on the Primorska region during and after the Second World War and explain the concept of smuggling, which is one of the themes of the story. In the second part, I analyze the practical work of the thesis. I analyze the story, in more detail its time, place, main and side characters. At the end, I describe how I did the design of the book.
