Abstract
Uvod: Testi telesne učinkovitosti so pomembna orodja za kinetično-funkcijsko ocenjevanje. Telesna zmogljivost zahteva dobro ravnotežje, mišično moč, jakost in vzdržljivost, ki je povezana z dobrim živčno-mišičnim nadzorom in senzorično-motorično integracijo. Y test ravnotežja za zgornji ud se smatra za objektivno mero poročanja in velja za zanesljiv test pri merjenju unilateralne funkcije zgornjega uda v zaprti kinetični verigi, ki ocenjuje stabilnost in gibljivost ramenskega sklepa ter obenem izziva komponente rotacije trupa in stabilnosti jedra. Namen: Ugotoviti, ali obstaja povezava med dosegom zgornjega uda, merjenega z Y testom ravnotežja za zgornji ud, z vzdržljivostjo mišic trupa, jakostjo prijema roke, spolom, indeksom telesne mase in obsegom gibljivosti v ramenskem sklepu in smerjo izvedbe Y testa ravnotežja za zgornji ud pri zdravih preiskovancih. Metode: Sodelovalo je 35 prostovoljnih preiskovancev (24 žensk, 11 moških, starost: 21,34 ± 1,37 let, telesna masa: 69, 4 ± 13,0 kg, telesna višina: 171,4 ± 8,8 cm, indeks telesne mase: 23,51 ± 3,02 kg/cm2). V statistično analizo smo vključili spremenljivke: dolžina dosega, izračunana z normalizirano dolžino segajočega uda, izražena v %, čas držanja položaja deske, jakost prijema in obseg gibljivosti. Uporabljena je bila bivariatna korelacija med dvema spremenljivkama in t-test za dva neodvisna vzorca. Rezultati: Ugotovljena je bila statistično značilna povezava med daljšim časom držanja položaja deske (p < 0,002) in večjo jakostjo prijema (p < 0,05) z daljšo dolžino seganja pri Y testu ravnotežja za zgornji ud. Statistično značilnih razlik med spoloma in indeksom telesne mase pri izvedbi testa ni bilo. Ugotovljena je bila tudi statistično značilna povezava med manjšim obsegom gibljivosti notranje rotacije in daljšo medio-lateralno (p < 0,034) ter supero-lateralno (p < 0,007) smerjo seganja pri izvedbi testa. Razprava in zaključek: Na podlagi rezultatov smo zaključili, da obstaja povezava med večjo vzdržljivostjo mišic trupa, večjo jakostjo prijema ter obsegom gibljivosti notranje rotacije in Y testom ravnotežja za zgornji ud.

Title:Association of arm reach measured by the upper quarter Y balance test with trunk muscle endurance : diploma work
Abstract:
Introduction: Tests of physical performance are important tools for kinematic-functional assessment. Physical fitness requires good balance, muscle strength, power, and endurance, which are associated with good neuromuscular control and sensory-motor integration. The Upper Quarter Y Balance Test (UQYBT) is considered an objective measure of reporting and is regarded as a reliable test for assessing unilateral upper limb function in a closed kinetic chain. It evaluates the stability and mobility of the shoulder joint while challenging trunk rotation components and core stability. Objective: To determine if there is a relationship between UQBT and trunk muscle endurance, hand grip strength, gender, body mass index, shoulder range of motion, and the direction of UQYBT performance in healthy subjects. Methods: The study included 35 voluntary participants (24 females, 11 males, age: 21.34 ± 1.37 years, body mass: 69.4 ± 13.0 kg, height: 171.4 ± 8.8 cm, body mass index: 23.51 ± 3.02 kg/cm2). The variables included in the statistical analysis were the reach distance expressed as a percentage of the normalized upper limb length, plank position holding time, grip strength, and range of motion. Bivariate correlation and independent samples t-test were used for statistical analysis. Results: A statistically significant correlation was found between plank position holding time and grip strength (p < 0.002) with longer reach distance in UQYBT (p < 0.05). There were no statistically significant differences between genders and body mass index in the test performance. A statistically significant correlation was also found between the lower range of motion of internal rotation and longer reach in mediolateral and superolateral directions in UQYBT (p < 0.034; p < 0.007). Discussion and Conclusion: Based on the results, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between greater trunk muscle endurance, higher grip strength, and the lower range of motion of internal rotation with UQYBT performance.
