Abstract
Cilj diplomske naloge je bil preučiti različne standarde za prenos in shranjevanje medicinskih podatkov, predvsem uporabo standarda HL7 v2 za izmenjavo medicinskih podatkov. V nalogi smo najprej analizirali različne standarde, vključno z DICOM, OpenEHR, HL7 v2, HL7 v3 in FHIR.

Title:Exchange and storage formats for medical data
Abstract:
The aim of the thesis was to examine various standards for the transmission and storage of medical data, with a primary focus on the use of the HL7 v2 standard for medical data exchange. Initially, we analyzed different standards, including DICOM, OpenEHR, HL7 v2, HL7 v3, and FHIR. We then shifted our focus to HL7 v2, where we selected suitable libraries and tools for working with the standard. We developed customized segments to incorporate new data types, such as the results of artificial intelligence (AI) diagnoses. Testing was conducted to assess the impact of message size on transmission time and to reduce message size using ZIP compression. Our contributions encompass documentation of the new data structure, facilitating efficient exchange and integration of new information.
