In today's digital and technologically advanced world, artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly asserting itself as a crucial factor affecting many areas of human activity. One of the industries facing the arrival of AI is also law. Family law, as one of the branches of law, is not protected before the arrival of artificial intelligence.
In my master's thesis, I will focus on exploring the impact of AI on family law and examining how UI is included in legal procedures and services related to family matters. Abroad, it is already possible to see the development of applications that use UI, especially in the Unated States of America (USA), Australia, Canada and the Netherlands. These apps use UI algorithms to streamline processes and give clients easier and more affordable access to legal services, while relieving the burden on lawyers. Studying different models of UI use abroad will give us insight into different models of UI use and their impact on legal services related to family matters.
The use of AI in law is, despite possible positive aspect, connected with many ethical and moral dilemmas, the problematic nature of which is also evident in the use of AI in family law. Family law deals with some of the most sensitive issues that require a personal approach and emotional understanding. While the future of automated procedures and the use of AI in family law offers advantages, it is also important to recognize potential challenges and limitations, especially regarding the protection of privacy and personal data.
