Fairy tales have experienced a lot of changes over time, just as their influence on society has changed throughout history. They used to be quite scary and intended for adults, but today they are overly embellished and intended for children. Both fairy tales and animated films are underrated due to the mistaken belief of exclusivity for children. I wanted to create an animated film where I summarize the essence of fairy tales and present it to the public, containing the right amount of horror and embellishment, in order to rekindle interest in fairy tales. The story represents the logic of the perception of fairy tales, which appeals to several different parts of our consciousness.
