Abstract

Title:Overview of Internet of Things technologies in smart viticulture
Abstract:
With the development of measurement sensors and the Internet of Things, their use in agriculture, including smart viticulture, increased through last years. In my thesis, we gave an overview of IoT technologies used in the concept of smart viticulture. First, we listed some of the environmental conditions that need to be measured and taken into account when building models for more efficient vineyard management. Next, we gave an overview of some of the sensor systems that capture this data and send it to the IoT platform, first connecting the sensor stations to the internet via LPWAN technology. Then, using APIs, the data is transferred to digital platforms, where the data is processed and analysed accordingly using artificial intelligence and machine learning. The winegrower can access the data in a readable format through the application solutions offered by these platforms.
