Abstract
Namen diplomskega seminarja je predstavitev promocije splošnih knjižnic prek socialnih omrežij in analiza primerov dobre in slabe prakse pri objavljanju objav na profilu dveh splošnih knjižnic v Sloveniji. V teoretičnem delu so v začetku predstavljene splošne knjižnice, njihove naloge in storitve, ki jih ponujajo svojim uporabnikom. Sledi razčlenitev socialnih omrežij glede na njihovo delovanje in funkcije, ki jih posamezno socialno omrežje ponuja. Osrednji poudarek v diplomskem seminarju ima socialno omrežje Instagram. V nadaljevanju so v empiričnem delu najprej prikazani pridobljeni podatki o objavljanju Mestne knjižnice Ljubljana in Knjižnice Antona Tomaža Linharta Radovljica prek njunih prosto dostopnih profilov na Instagramu. Po analizi podatkov smo ugotovili, da je mogoče na profilih obeh knjižnic najti primere tako dobre kot slabe prakse objavljanja. V nadaljevanju sledi prikaz nekaj uspešnejših objav in nekaj manj uspešnih objav obeh knjižnic. Podana sta tudi dva slabša primera objav in komentar k njima. V zadnjem delu diplomskega seminarja je na podlagi analize objav podan tudi primer izboljšane objave. Demonstracija izboljšave objave vsebuje tudi komentar.

Title:Promotion of library services through social media
Abstract:
The purpose of this degree is to present the promotion of public libraries through social media and also to highlight good and bad practices in posting content on the profiles of two public libraries in Slovenia.In the theoretical part, public libraries are introduced in general along with their tasks and services offered to users. Different social media platforms are then analyzed based on their operation and the functions they offer individually. The main focus of this degree is on the social platform Instagram.In the empirical part, data on the posting of content by Mestna knjižnica Ljubljana and Knjižnica Antona Tomaža Linharta Radovljica on Instagram are presented. The analysis of the data revealed that both good and bad posting practices can be found on the profiles of both libraries. Some of the more successful posts and some less successful posts from both libraries are showcased. Two poorer examples of posts are provided along with the comments on them. In the final part of this degree, an improved post example in presented based on the analysis of posts. The demonstration of the improved post also includes commentary.
