In my thesis, I analyze the accuracy of non-contact clinical thermometers with the help of a black body in a bath.
Body temperature is usualy a good indicator of the processes taking place in the body. An accurate thermometer in particular contributes to quality measurement, as it provides reliable data and leads to appropriate actions. The results of the analysis of the accuracy of clinical thermometers contribute to the quality and well-being of people.
In the first part, the importance of body temperature, deviations that show probability of diseases, injuries, measurement sites and the importance of traceability of calibrations accredited according to the ISO17025 standard are briefly described.
For quality measurement, we need appropriate thermometers, which I described and also used in the measurements.
In my thesis, I focused on the analysis of infrared (IR) thermometers and the associated already known acts.
The experiment was based on laboratory verification of the accuracy of contact and non-contact thermometers.
The calibration results of the mentioned clinical thermometers are also presented.
