Frane Milčinski - Ježek is one of the most recognizable authors of the 20th century in Slovenia. His work also reached the countries of the former Yugoslavia, France, Belgium, etc. His opus includes poetic works, screenplays for commercials, TV skits and radio plays. Among children, he is known primarily for his children's fairy tale Zvezdica Zaspanka. Ježek is still respected by the Slovenian nation, almost 35 years after his death, his songs are now well-known Slovenian pop songs, and in his honor, Radiotelevizija Slovenija (RTV SLO) awards deserving authors and artists Ježek’s awards every year.
The purpose of the diploma thesis is to present the life and work of the poet Frane Milčinski - Ježek, to describe and define the poetic type of chanson, to present its development and existence in Slovenia. In the last part of the assignment, 24 chansons from Ježek's poetry collection Sončna ura are presented, their substance, theme, motif, versification and stylistic features are defined. The research is based exclusively on literature, which includes information obtained from books, videos, other research and assignments about the poet, and the Internet.
