Abstract
1,4-dieni so sestavljeni iz nekonjugiranega 1,4-dienskega sistema, kjer sta dve nenasičeni dvojni vezi alkena ločena z sp3 hibridiziranim ogljikovim atomom. Imajo širok spekter uporabe, predvsem v medicini.

Title:Synthesis of 1,4-dienes from allyl bromide and terminal alkynes
Abstract:
1,4-diens are composed out of unconjugated 1,4-dien system in which two unsaturated double bonds of alken are separated with one sp3 hybridised carbon atom. The 1,4-diens have a wide spectrum of usage, mostly in the medical field. Besides that they occur in nature in many substances such as alkaloids, terpens, fatty acids and polyketals. In this thesis 1,4-diens were synthesised from allyl bromide and terminal alkynes according to the procedure described by Knochel and Normant in the literature.

Keywords:1, 4-dienes, terminal alkynes, allyl bromide, Knochel and Normant procedure
