Abstract
Kulturna kompetenca/zavest je v članku obravnavana kot ena od osmih ključnih kompetenc. Pomeni znanje in poznavanje kulturnih pojavov, kritično razmišljanje ter vključevanje kulturnih vrednot v celostni vrednostni sistem posameznika in družbe. Zaradi vsebinske in didaktične zasnove daje pouk slovenščine veliko priložnosti za njen razvoj. Operativizacija poteka prek transfernih strategij.

Abstract:
Cultural competency is treated in the present article as one of the eight key competencies. Cultural competency involves knowledge of and familiarity with cultural phenomena, critical thinking and the inclusion of cultural values in the integrated value system of an individual and society. With its topics and didactic concept, teaching Slovene offers great opportunities for its development in the classroom. The implementation of teaching goals is achieved through transfer strategies.
