Abstract
Raziskava v teoretičnem delu primerja oblačenje Kate Middleton in Lady Gaga.

Title:Design of collection Brez grdih solz
Abstract:
In this study, we juxtapose the fashion styles of Kate Middleton and Lady Gaga, representing conservative and provocative choices respectively. This comparative analysis serves as the foundation for a fashion collection designed in the subsequent practical section. We delve into concepts like modesty, moderation, and shame stemming from a Catholic upbringing, contrasting them with the boldness that defies these values. Reviewing the "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and Catholic Imagination" exhibition catalogue underscores the interplay between fashion and the Church. Designers Simone Rocha and Cecilie Bahnsen, representatives of a younger generation, are also explored for their shared contemporary romantic design ethos. Using visual references from Kate and Lady Gaga, the collection is conceived through a collage and sketching process, reflecting a contemporary romantic style. It bridges the gap between modesty and provocativeness, merging diverse aesthetics harmoniously. Each garment is meticulously crafted, adorned with embroidery and distinctive prints. The overarching question addressed by the collection is how conservative upbringing can influence one's aesthetics and, by extension, one's design sensibilities.
