Abstract
Govor vzpostavlja in ohranja družbena in politična razmerja.

Title:Lacanian theory of social bonds and the importance od language in the formation of national identity – the casa of hungarian minority in the municipality of Lendava : magistrsko delo
Abstract:
Lacan explained workings of society through psyonaliysis, establishing discourses as the vehicles of social bonds. The original and fundamental discourse is that of the Master, which establishes the social bond, forming the identity of a particular group of individuals in relation to the Other. From this we can deduce the logical sequence that the formation of a group´ s identity is always about finding an opponent and creating poles.Identity construction is always based on the division between us and them. Lacan conceives of people as phantasmatic beings who make sense of their realitytrought phantasm. It also attaches great importance to language and speech, because we humans, as talking beings, try to put everything into words. Speech establishes and maintains social and political relations. The importance of using and learning mother tounge is important in establishing the national identity and non-assimilation of a minority living outside the borders of the country of origin and in establishing national identity in general. In Slovenia, the Hungarian minority lives in five municipalities along the NE border and has the statuse of indigenious minority and granted special rights. My research object will be the Hungarian minority in the municipality of Lendava. In this thesis I will try to answer the main question, which is: what is this imagionation around which national identity is bulit if certain group fo people does not live in their country of origin.
