Abstract
Obravnavane so štiri večje skupine lepil, in sicer lepila na osnovi organskih topil, lepila na osnovi vodnih disperzij, talilna lepila in UV-strjevalna lepila. Primerjane so njihove lastnosti, posebnosti, sestava in področja uporabe.

Title:Performance comparison of different adhesives
Abstract:
Pressure sensitive adhesive stick to substrate by applying light pressure using hands and in doing so do not chemically react. Four major groups of adhesives are discussed, namely solvent adhesives, emulsion adhesives, hot melt adhesives, and UV-curable adhesives. Their properties, unique features, composition, and fields of applications are compared. As part of the experimental work, tests were carried out to determine peel resistance using Zwick dynamometer. Three types of pressure sensitive adhesives (waterborne acrylate adhesive, UV-curable acrylate adhesive and hot melt rubber adhesive) applied to nonwoven textiles were compared. The force required for removing samples attached to polystyrene, stainless steel and fibre cement plate was measured. Results showed good adhesion performance of the UV-curable adhesive to all three substrates, the waterborne acrylate adhesive had very poor adhesion to stainless steel substrate after aging process, and the hot melt rubber adhesive achieved sufficient peel resistance for application to all substrates.
