During the construction of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Bled, we encountered a number of technological peculiarities that presented a unique challenge for the contractors. According to the architectural design, the building has an artistic value in itself, and a special technological solution was applied to each structural detail. The facade of the building, which is designed according to the system of visible concrete, presents a unique challenge, where it is necessary to use a series of techniques to achieve these criteria. On the one hand, we encountered the subsequent treatment of concrete surfaces by sanding, stoking or preserving the raster structure, which we achieved with specially designed formwork panels throughout the entire facade envelope. On the other hand, preserving the externally visible structure of the concrete facade meant meeting special requirements in solving structural details that could not be covered with conventional construction techniques. In the diploma thesis, we analyzed three structural details for which we examined the method of implementation and then proposed an upgrade or technical improvement of the implementation with the aim of optimizing it.
