Instalacija skulptur iz odpadnega pletiva in keramike

Namen magistrskega dela z naslovom Instalacija skulptur iz odpadnega pletiva in keramike je oblikovanje umetniške instalacije in kolekcije keramičnih izdelkov iz odpadnih pletiv. Zajema oblikovanje in izdelavo umetniške instalacije in kolekcije od izhodišča do izvedbe. V magistrskem delu je predstavljen proces nastajanja skulptur in kolekcije izdelkov, narejenih iz odpadnega pletiva in keramike. Predstavljeno delo sestoji iz dveh delov. Prvi del je umetniška instalacija skulptur, ki je vodila do drugega dela – izdelave uporabne kolekcije keramičnega posodja oz. umetniške keramike. V teoretičnem delu sta podrobneje predstavljena pojma keramika in pletenje, njuna zgodovina, razvoj skozi zgodovino ter uporaba v sodobnem svetu. Predstavljeni so tudi primeri sodobnih umetnikov, ki ustvarjajo s pleteninami in/ali keramiko. V eksperimentalnem delu sta podrobneje predstavljena procesa obeh ustvarjalnih delov magistrske naloge, tako umetniške instalacije kot uporabne kolekcije keramičnih izdelkov. Vanju so vključeni inspiracija, postopki dela, materiali, barvna paleta, skice ter fotografije končnih izdelkov. Končni rezultat magistrskega dela je instalacija iz kremenita in odpadnih pletiv ter kolekcija keramičnih izdelkov.

Abstract

The purpose of the Master's thesis titled »Installation of sculptures made of knit waste and ceramics« is creating the art installation and a collection of ceramic products made out of wasted knit. The master's thesis covers the design and work behind the collection, from the first inspiration to the final presentation. The master's thesis presents the process of creating sculptures and collection of products, made out of knit waste and ceramics. The presented work consists of two parts – an artistic installation, which led me into creating a collection of useful ceramic products, also presented as artistic ceramics. In the theoretical part, the concepts of ceramics and knitting, their history and their use in the modern world are presented in a more detailed way. Examples of contemporary artists working with knitted and/or ceramic materials are also presented. In the experimental part of the thesis, there are presented both parts of the experiment in a more detailed way. It includes inspiration behind it, work procedures, materials and color palette, sketches, and photos of the final product. The final result of the master's thesis is an installation made of knit waste and ceramic powder paste and a collection of ceramic products.
