For high-quality dimensional measurement in the production process we need accuracy measuring devices. However there can occure some problems with measuring devices, either the product is to big, heavy, or we would rather take the measurements at other location. That is why we chose for our diploma thesis the introduction of a portable measuring arm
for dimensional measurements in the production process. In the experimental part, we selected a sample that we measured with three different measuring devices and made a comparison with each other. Based on the calculations and other criteria, we came to the conclusion that the portable measuring arm can replace the existing already established measuring devices.
