Abstract
Že od odkritja so pirazoloni postali zelo pomembni za industrijo, znanost in zdravstvo zaradi njihove pestre uporabnosti in enostavne sinteze. Eden od njihovih številčnih učinkov je antibakterijski. Velika težava sodobnega časa je odpornost bakterij na antibiotike. Zaradi tega smo se odločili sintetizirati vrsto pirazol-3-onov in testirati njihovo inhibitorni učinek na rast bakterij. Z variacijo substituentov na pozicijah 2 in 5 smo preizkušali vpliv različnih skupin na učinkovitost pirazolonov. Sinteze smo izvajali z enostavno kondenzacijo ustreznih hidrazinov in ß-keto estrov pri blagih reakcijskih pogojih. Produkte smo očistili s kolonsko kromatografijo ali trituiranjem in z difuzijsko metodo preverili antibakterijski učinek sintetiziranih spojin na 4 različne bakterijske seve.

Title:Synthesis of some 2-aryl-1,2-dihydro-3H-pyrazol-3-ones
Abstract:
Since their discovery, pyrazolones have become very important for industry, science, and health because of their wide range of utility and easy synthesis. One of their numer-ous effects is antibacterial. A major problem of modern times is the bacterial resistance to antibiotics. For this reason, we decided to synthesize a series of pyrazol-3-ones and test their inhibitory effect on bacterial growth. By varying the substituents at positions 2 and 5, we tested the influence of different groups on the effectiveness of pyrazolones. The syntheses were performed by simple condensation of the corresponding hydrazines and ß-keto esters under mild conditions. The products were purified by column chroma-tography or trituration and the antibacterial effect of the synthesized compounds on 4 bacterial strains was tested by the disk diffusion method.
