In my thesis, I explored the concept of a combination of image and music, and how it can attract and hold our attention more effectively than any medium on its own. If music and visualization work effectively together, they create an unforgettable symbiosis based on the interaction and activation of several senses at the same time. This increased involvement indirectly leads to a stronger and deeper connection with the very content and message of the movement or genre that rests at the foundation of authorship. Once a symbiosis is established, a unified vision can be created. Musical genre, tone, manner of playing, and atmosphere can be matched with style, color palette, composition, and visual elements that become almost clichéd, but desirable for more concrete definition, classification, and recognition. Above all, this kind of symbiosis must encapsulate the experience and message of both media. I applied this kind of connection to three sub-genres of punk music, namely hard-core, anarcho and crust punk. Based on the findings, I can apply them and use them for my own production of this kind of symbiosis. The goal of the task was to record one song and visualize it logically.
