Kakovost delovnega življenja in vloga socialnih delavk in delavcev v domovih za stare : magistrsko delo

Osrednja tema magistrskega dela je raziskovanje kakovosti delovnega življenja in vloge socialnih delavk in delavcev v domovih za stare ljudi. V nadaljevanju uporabljeni izrazi so zapisani v obliki ženskega spola, uporabljeni so kot nevtralni in veljajo enakovredno za oba spola. V teoretičnem delu sem se sprva dotaknila teme socialnega dela in njegovega področja ter nato prešla na teoretični del o starosti in staranju, socialnovarstvenih storitvah in institucionalni oskrbi. Na koncu sem se osredotočila na vlogo in naloge socialnih delavk v domovih za stare in kakovost delovnega življenja, na stres na delovnem mestu in supervizijo. Raziskavo sem izvedla s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika. V raziskavi so sodelovale socialne delavke, zaposlene v domovih za stare v Sloveniji. Ugotovila sem, da je vloga socialnih delavk pomembna, ampak še vedno premalo cenjena. V domovih je zaposlenih premalo socialnih delavk, da bi lahko opravljale naloge, ki se od njih pričakujejo. Največ časa namenijo administraciji, zato jim zmanjka časa za stanovalce, ki pa so v domovih zelo pomemben člen. Socialne delavke so v veliki večini psihično izčrpane, kljub temu pa uspešno usklajujejo delovno in družinsko življenje.

• Title: Quality of working life and the role of social workers in homes for elderly

Abstract

The central theme of the master's thesis is research into the quality of working life and the role of social workers in homes for the elderly. In the theoretical part, I initially touched on the topic of social work and the field of social work only. This is followed by a theoretical part about age and aging, social welfare services and institutional care. In the end, I focused on the role and tasks of social workers in homes for the elderly and the quality of working life, stress at the workplace and supervision. I conducted the research with the help of a survey questionnaire. Social workers employed in homes for the elderly in Slovenia participated in the research. I found that the role of the social worker is important but still underappreciated. There are too few social workers employed in the homes to be able to perform the tasks that a social worker is supposed to perform. They devote most of their time to administration and thus lack time for the residents, who are a very important part of the homes. Social workers are to a greater extent psychologically exhausted, yet they successfully balance work and family life.
