Abstract
V diplomskem delu pišem o populaciji odraslih oseb z ADHD-jem in raziskujem njihovo razreševanje medosebnih konfliktov. Izpeljala sem kvalitativno, empirično in eksplorativno raziskavo.

Title:ADHD among adults and interpersonal conflict
Abstract:
In my bachelor's thesis, I focus on the population of adults with ADHD and explore their interpersonal conflict resolution. In the introduction, I touch on attention deficit disorder, its positive aspects, and symptoms in adults. I also write about the friendships, romantic relationships, and family dynamics of individuals with ADHD and connect ADHD to social work. In the thesis, you will also find knowledge on communication, conflicts, and their connection to relationship quality. My research is qualitative, empirical, and exploratory. Using interview guidelines, I collected verbal descriptions from six adults with ADHD. This qualitative study uses a non-randomised, casual sample to connect communication and response to conflicts with the outcomes and resolution of conflict situations. Based on my research, I found that participants struggle on occasion with impulsivity in communication within relationships. However, it became evident that individuals do not resolve conflicts in the same way, so the outcomes of conflict situations cannot be generalised. Differences in communication and conflict resolution were observed based on gender. Through my research and the in-depth stories of my interviewees, I can conclude that conflict resolution in adults with ADHD is influenced not only by their diagnosis but also by their communication skills, emotional intelligence, personality traits, past experiences with conflict resolution, etc.
