The servomotor is a basic part of mechatronic systems that require closed-loop control. It consists of an actuator, which is usually an electric motor, an absolute position encoder and a controller. The constructed servomotor consists of a stepper motor, a magnetic encoder, a motor driver, and a microcontroller. A program with a graphical interface has been developed which controls the rotation of the servomotor via serial communication. Servomotor was tested for repeatability of rotations, the angle reading time and speed.
