The master's thesis deals with the process of digital transformation of a small manufacturing company. We first investigated different approaches to the digitalization of manufacturing companies by means of a literature review. This was followed by the listing and definition of the steps used by manufacturing companies to help with their digital transformation. For a precise analysis of the defined steps, we carried out a pilot project of implementing MRPeasy software in a company that manufactures components for ventilation and air conditioning systems. The analysis was carried out on the case of a simulated order of round sheet metal air towers of different dimensions. Based on the results of the order planning simulation, we conducted a discussion and stated the findings in view of further development of the manufacturing company's digitalization.
