After a vibration test with a temperature profile, the selected electric motor showed an increased clearance between the front bearing and the bearing seat on the housing. The goal of the task was to reduce the deformation of the bearing seat. Several design solutions were developed and then the best of them was produced. Produced prototypes were measured for noise and vibration, tested and analysed. We improved the condition of the bearing-housing contact surfaces and reduced damage. We found that noise and vibration measurements alone are not sufficient to evaluate the damage to the whole motor assembly.
