Abstract
V magistrskem delu je obravnavano področje nadgradnje obstoječega CNC frezalnega stroja ter njegova nadaljnja uporaba na področju razvoja adaptivnega krmiljenja. Delo bo zajemalo nadgradnjo stroja s krogličnimi vreteni in meritev nove pozicijske točnosti ter primerjavo z izhodiščnim stanjem. Z modificiranim strojem bo izveden eksperimentalni model adaptivnega krmiljenja podajalne hitrosti med obdelavo splošnega konstrukcijskega jekla. Glavni vplivni parameter za prilagajanje podajalnega gibanja bo radialna komponenta sile na frezalo, ki bo merjena preko vpenjalnega sistema. Rezultati kažejo, da lahko uporaba adaptivnega krmiljenja podajalne hitrosti znatno izboljša učinkovitost obdelovalnega procesa.

Title:Upgrade and adaptive control of conventional milling machine
Abstract:
This thesis presents the process of upgrading an existing CNC milling machine and discuses its use in the area of adaptive control development. The first part includes updating the CNC milling machine with an installation of ball screws and measuring the new positional tolerance as well as its comparison to the positional tolerance before the upgrade. This is followed by performing an experimental model of adaptive control feedrate, using general construction steel as a raw material. Radial force component will be the main parameter used to adjust feed movement and it will be measured through Piezo electric measurement equipment in the fixture system. The results of our experimental work demonstrate that adaptive feedrate control significantly enhances the efficiency of the machining process.
