Abstract
Analizirane so prednosti in slabosti posamezne numerične metode.

Title:Comparison of 1D heat transfer computation using FEM and BEM
Abstract:
This thesis presents a 1D stationary heat transfer problem, which is treated by two different numerical methods. The problem is treated by the finite element method and the boundary element method. In order to test both methods, we consider two different cases. In the first case, both edges of the 1D geometric region are given temperatures, while in the second case one of the edges is subjected to natural convection. The advantages and disadvantages of each numerical method are analysed.

Keywords:stationary heat transfer, finite element method, boundary element method, weak integral formulation, inverse integral formulation
