Abstract
V diplomskem delu obravnavam pojav nestrukturiranega prostega časa v življenju dijakov slovenskih srednjih šol v gorenjski regiji. V teoretičnem delu diplomskega dela razglabljam o mladosti kot obdobju prehoda, njegovem pomenu, vidikih in funkcijah. V luči sodobnih teorij identitet in življenjskih stilov mladih obravnavam družbeno skupino mladih (15 do 20 let) v obdobju odraščanja in adolescence, in jo povežem s teorijami socializacije skozi katere obravnavam psihosocialni razvoj mladostnikov. Opišem pojav prostega časa, obravnavam njegove značilnosti, vrste in vlogo prostočasnih dejavnosti v obdobju odraščanja.

Title:Unstructured leisure time of Slovenian secondary school students
Abstract:
In my diploma work, I discuss the phenomenon of unstructured free time in the lives of Slovenian secondary school students in the Gorenjska region. In the theoretical part of the thesis, I discuss youth as a period of transition, its meaning, aspects and functions. In the light of modern theories of identities and lifestyles of young people, I consider the social group of young people (15 to 20 years old) in the period of growing up and adolescence, and connect it with theories of socialization through which I consider the psychosocial development of young people. I describe the phenomenon of free time, discuss its characteristics, types and the role of free time activities in the period of growing up. In the following, I focus my attention on the factors of growing up (peers, family, school, media and values) and investigate their influence on the choice of leisure activities and the formation of an identity. I discuss in depth the influence of peer groups, social networks and media content, as well as value orientations on the life world of young people. I also focus on the critical definition of risk factors in the context of young people's attitude to spending free time. I conclude the research of the topic by presenting the findings and proposals of the research, which include the presentation of the variety and frequency of types of activities (predominantly sports and passive activities (listening to music, hanging out with friends)), which the majority of young people do most often. A comparison of the motives within the role of media and social networks indicates the dominant function of entertainment and the influence of peers on the youth's choice of social media content. The presentation of the subjective conception of the connection between identity, lifestyle and values expresses their presence and diverse ways of manifestation. Students' perceptions of the influence of leisure activities on the choice of tertiary education and (first) employment show that this cannot be confirmed.
