With my thesis, I wanted to focus on changes in the quality of working life in the period before and during the epidemic in health centers using the needs indicators given by Allardt (1993). In the theoretical part, I touched the topic of the quality of working life in different definitions with an emphasis on Allardt's concept of meeting needs. In the empirical part, I presented the results obtained with a survey questionnaire covering three health centers in Slovenia. In the results, I found that medical professionals perceived changes, that the biggest change was in meeting the needs of »having« and »loving«, and that the biggest change was perceived by doctors and in both groups of nurses. It would be necessary for employers to pay more attention to the quality of working life, as there is always room for improvement. A social worker can be that small puzzle piece who helps employers regulate the quality of working life.
