The approaches used in practical production applications and known so far in the design of digital twins of production processes and systems are built for fixed layouts of production and logistics assets. In the master's thesis, we discuss the development of an agile digital twin of a modular smart factory. A digital twin of production and logistics systems and processes has been developed, in which the simulation model is automatically adjusted according to the data obtained from the real system. For the purpose of creating a digital twin, we also developed a methodology for setting up a smart factory, a database, visualization and the connection between the database and the digital twin. The Technomatix Plant Simulation software tool was used to create the digital twin, and the Thingsboard platform was used to create the visualization and database. The connection between the database and the digital twin takes place via the MQTT communication protocol. The main result of the master's thesis is a digital twin, where the simulation model is automatically built according to changes in the floor plan or when the layout of the modules in the smart factory is changed. For this purpose, we also carried out several "what if" scenarios, with which we demonstrated the operation of the digital twin and with which we verified and validated the operation of the digital twin.
