Agile methods and practices, which have their origins in the automotive industry in the early 1960s [1], have also become popular in software development [2], due to their ability to adapt quickly and efficiently to change. Despite the fact that they were fundamentally intended for teams of up to ten members, they have started to be utilised in larger teams, which can include all employees in a company [3]. The adoption of agile practices and mindset at all levels of the company is called agile transformation. In this thesis we will explore the origins of agile and its evolution, as well as the process, methods, best practices and challenges of agile transformation. On the basis of the mentioned, we will develop a model for selecting agile transformation practices, which will be tested with a case study in an IT company.
