Abstract
Tehnologije zajema, uporabe in shranjevanja ogljikovega dioksida (CCUS) bodo imele pomembno vlogo pri zmanjšanju emisij tega toplogrednega plina. S prihodom CCUS tehnologij in evropskega sistema za trgovanje z emisijami se pojavi potreba po natančnem in točnem merjenju pretoka CO2. V nalogi, ki temelji na pregledu literature, so predstavljeni najprimernejši merilniki pretoka za uveljavitev v CCUS aplikacijah. Predstavljeni so fizikalni principi delovanja merilnikov s prednostmi ter slabostmi. Največ možnosti za uveljavitev imajo Coriolisov, ultrazvočni in Venturijev merilnik pretoka ter merilna zaslonka.

Title:Overview of carbon dioxide (CO2) flow measurement methods in the context of CCUS technologies
Abstract:
Carbon capture, utillization and storage (CCUS) technologies will play an important role in reducing emissions of this greenhouse gas. With the implementation of CCUS technologies and the European Union Emissions Trading System, there is a need for accurate and precise measurement of CO2 flow. The thesis, based on a literature review, presents the most suitable flowmeters for usage in CCUS applications. The physical principles of operation with the advantages and disadvantages of the meters are described. The Coriolis, ultrasonic, Venturi and orifice flow meters have the highest potential for implementation.
