Abstract
Diplomsko delo z naslovom Jantarna soba in umetnost v času nacizma govori o monopolu nad umetnostjo, ki ga je v Nemčiji in njenih osvojenih ozemljih vzpostavila nacistična stranka pod vodstvom Adolfa Hitlerja. Sprva avtorica obnovi potek druge svetovne vojne in predstavi, kaj je nacizem in kdo so bili glavni akterji v nacistični Nemčiji. Pojasni nacistično ideologijo umetnosti in se osredotoči na dogajanje v svetu umetnosti med leti 1939 in 1945. Natančneje se osredotoči na vpliv nacizma na Jude. V delu je razložen nadzor nad umetninami in umetniki, ropanje ter uničevanje umetniških del in prepoved ustvarjanja in razstavljanja neželenih umetnin. Avtorica predstavi najpomembnejše slikarje, kiparje in arhitekte v tistem času ter pojasni, kako so takrat delovali muzeji in kaj je bilo v njih razstavljeno. V drugem delu raziskuje zgodovino Jantarne sobe pred, med in po vojni. Predstavi različne teorije o njenem izginotju in glavne raziskovalce, ki so poskušali ugotoviti, kaj se je zgodilo z Jantarno sobo. Na koncu predstavi povezavo Jantarne sobe z nacistično ideologijo umetnosti.

Title:The Amber Room and Art under Nazism
Abstract:
The diploma work, The Amber Room and Art under Nazism talks about the monopoly of art established by the NSDAP under the leadership of Adolf Hitler in Germany and the conquered territories. At first, the author describes the course of the Second World War and presents what Nazism was and who were the main actors in Nazi Germany. She writes about the Nazi ideology of art and focuses on what happened in the art world between 1939 and 1945. The focus is specifically on the impact of Nazism on the Jews. The author explains the control of art and artists, the looting and destruction of works of art, and the prohibition of creating and exhibiting undesirable art. The most important painters, sculptors and architects of that time are presented, and it is explained how museums have worked and what was exhibited in them. In the second part, the author goes into the history of the Amber Room before, during and after the war. She presents the various theories about her disappearance and the main researchers who tried to find out what happened to the Amber Room. Finally, she presents its connection with the National Socialist ideology of art.
