The authors of the paper deal with Frank Wollmanʼs concept of the Literature of the Slavs and South-Slav and Slovene dramatic creations in general Slavic contexts due to several books in which the famous Czech Slavist and literary historian, theorist and specialist in comparative literary studies analysed the phenomenon of Slavonic literatures and the position within them of the drama. The interest in Wollmanʼs works on comparative Slavic literatures, on the dramatic art of the South Slavs and his special concept of the Slovene drama was quite recently expressed by the German translation and edition of his Literature of the Slavs and the Slovene translation and commented edition of his Slovene Drama.
