Prevajalec kot posrednik med kulturama omogoča, da tuja književnost zaživi na novo, kot poznavalec dveh kultur pa med njima predvsem vzpostavlja stik, pri katerem lahko bralec v sebi zazna tuje in sebe v tujem. Čeprav je zaradi slovenističnih študijev na Poljskem vse več prevajalcev iz slovenske književnosti, zaslužita posebno pozornost prevajalki Joanna Pomorska in Katarina Šalamun Biedrzycka.

Abstract

Translators give a new life to the literature they translate. Knowing both worlds, they create bridges between cultures, which allow the reader to recognize the self in the other and to find otherness in selfhood. In this regard, Joanna Pomorska and Katarina Šalamun Biedrzycka deserve particular attention among an increasing number of translators of Slovene literature into Polish.
