The paper presents an overview of long prose publications in the Slovene-American periodicals Glas svobode (1902-1908), Glasilo Slovenske narodne podporne jednote (1908-1916), and Prosveta (1908-) between 1904 and 1930. The aim of the article is to show how emigre readers may have experienced Slovene literature in the context of the periodicals' varied literary content.
