Timber construction has become one of the most advanced construction methods, using modern software with many CAD and BIM features. This allows even the most complex buildings, both private and public, to be built. Using modern software in combination with CNC machine tools, high precision is achieved in the manufacture of all elements, and on-site assembly is easy and fast. The aim of the thesis is to present the process of the construction of a timber frame residential building from architectural design and construction documentation, to the selection of construction materials and analysis of the load-bearing system. The assembly of the timber-frame building is described in detail. The structure is drawn using Dietrich software, which offers a universal tool for conceptual, project and shop drawings with a variety of CAD functions.
