In this thesis the design and construction of a physical device that can sense, recognize, and communicate with a computer using 3D human gestures, is presented. It is an improvement of an older prototype, that extracts information from the environment by utilizing the near electric field.
The device has six implemented gestures that allow background management with various programs on the computer. The connection to the computer is established via the USB-I2C module.
This work also presents a 3D gesture recognition model and software that enables the use of 3D gestures in applications.
