Abstract
Izvedli smo reakcijo bakrovega(II) klorida dihidrata z 2-amino-3-hidroksipiridinom (2ahpy) v množinskem razmerju 1 : 4 v treh različnih topilih. Uporabili smo tetrahidrofuran (THF), acetonitril in etanol. V vseh treh poskusih je po sušenju v bučki ostal skoraj črn produkt. Na podlagi posnetih IR spektrov smo ugotovili, da je v vseh treh topilih nastal enak produkt. Po primerjavi IR spektrov produktov teh sintez in 2ahpy sklepamo, da je nastala bakrova koordinacijska spojina z 2ahpy. Po reakciji bakrovega(II) klorida dihidrata s klorotrimetilsilanom (Me3SiCl) v THF, smo najprej dobili oranžen, na zraku neobstojen vmesni produkt. V toku dušika smo trdnemu produktu dodali diklorometan in 2ahpy. IR spekter produkta se je ujemal s spektri produktov prvih treh sintez. S prekristalizacijo teh štirih produktov nismo uspeli pridobiti ustreznih kristalov za rentgensko strukturno analizo, zato ne moremo zagotovo potrditi strukture kompleksa. Po reakciji bakrovega(II) klorida dihidrata in 2ahpy, v množinskem razmerju 1 : 4, s Me3SiCl v THF, smo po novi sintezni poti izolirali že znano ionsko spojino bakra (2ahpyH)2[CuCl4].

Title:Complexes of the first-row transition metals with 2-amino-3-hydroxypyridine.
Abstract:
We have carried out a reaction of copper(II) chloride dihydrate with 2-amino-3-hydroxypyridine (2ahpy) in a molar ratio of 1 : 4 in three different solvents. We have used tetrahydrofuran (THF), acetonitrile and ethanol. In all three experiments, nearly black product remained in the flask after drying. Based on IR spectra of the three products, we found, that the same product was synthesized in all three solvents. After comparing the IR spectra of the products of these syntheses and 2ahpy, we conclude that a copper coordination compound with 2ahpy was formed. After the reaction of copper(II) chloride dihydrate with chlorotrimethylsilane (Me3SiCl) in THF, an orange intermediate unstable in air was first obtained. 2ahpy was added to it in a stream of nitrogen. The IR spectrum of the product matched the spectra of the products of the first three syntheses. By recrystallization of these four products, we could not obtain suitable crystals for X-ray structural analysis, so we cannot definitely confirm formula and structure of the complex. After the reaction of copper(II) chloride dihydrate and 2ahpy in a molar ratio of 1 : 4 with Me3SiCl in THF, the previously reported ionic copper compound (2ahpyH)2[CuCl4] was isolated by a new synthesis route.
