The
diploma thesis covers general technical and spatial aspects of marina management. Each
aspect is described in more detail and divided into sub chapters, so that anyone who
encounters the marina for the first time gets an insight into its basic organizatio n, operation,
basic structure and composition. The technical aspect first deals with the various regulations
and codes that deal with the regulation of marinas and provide the legal basis for all further
interventions and regulations. Some of the described factors affecting the technical and spatial
arrangement of the marina are then presented on the practical example of the largest
Slovenian marina, Marina Izola. Over the centuries, marinas have developed into complex
organizations full of internal process es. In the absence of one of these processes, the marina as
a whole has difficulty functioning, so it is important to understand all parts and the influences
on it.
