My thesis addresses the problem of designing collaborative e-classrooms in the context of an integrated learning environment, which will include integrations with student information systems and dedicated applications for interactive teaching. I have made a thorough review of the user and technical requirements and based on these I have discussed three models of collaborative e-classrooms based on three different infrastructure configurations. In addition to the different configurations at the visualisation level, I have also considered the possibility of single-tenancy and multi-tenancy modes of using Moodle online classrooms. While designing collaborative e-classrooms in the context of an integrated learning environment, I faced the boundary conditions and proposed a solution in the area of SSO and integration with the UL back-end IT systems. At the same time, I also highlighted the importance of standardisation and systematisation of the UL IT systems. The final result of my thesis is a proposal of a model for the design of collaborative e-classrooms in the context of an integrated learning environment.
