While processing and registering archival material in presbyteries in the deanery of Dravograd - Meža Valley, an old library of the parish of Prevalje was discovered. From its establishment in the mid-12th century until 1861 this parish included the whole lower part of the Meža Valley, except Kotlje. In this part of the presbytery, which until recently was completely inaccessible to the public, besides old book material examples of Slovene manuscript material from the 18th to the 20th century were found. In his article the author presents the recently discovered Slovene manuscript material which was written in parts of old preserved books, the two being preserved together.
