Abstract
V diplomskem delu sem opisal uporabo tiofenskih derivatov v polimernih sončnih celicah in tranzistorjih, ki predstavljajo obetavno zamenjavo za dražje in neekološke klasične elektronske komponente. V gorivih se signifikantna količina žvepla nahaja v obliki tiofenskih derivatov, te pa se s klasično desulfurizacijo nafte neučinkovito odstranjuje. V znanstveni literaturi sem iskal različne postopke odstranjevanja tiofena iz različnih vrst goriv. To so odstranjevanje tiofena s superkritično vodo, odstranjevanje tiofena z zeoliti in odstranjevanje tiofena s kovinsko-organskimi ogrodji.

Title:Thiophene as technologically relevant organic molecule or as pollutant
Abstract:
In this work I have described the use of thiophene derivates in polymer solar panels and organic transistors, both of which might be a promising alternative to the expensive and unecological classic electronic components. A significant portion of sulphur in fuels is found in the form of thiophene derivatives, which is inefficiently removed via classic desulphurisation. In scientific literature, I found a variety of ways to remove thiophene from fossil fuels. I will describe the removal of thiophenes with supercritical water, the removal of thiophenes with zeolites and the removal of thiophenes with metal-organic frameworks.
